OK OK, its just for bling reasons....
but I really dislike the orange colured LED on the spektrum micro reciever.
is there any way to not have the LED at all or even better, replace it for a blue on instead.
in the car I run it is visible through the window and it really clashes darling

It's just a surface mount LED isn't it? Would be easy enough to change with the right tools. ;)
But I think the boards are coated to stop water ingress.
You could colour the top of the LED itself with a black pen, or a bit of black tape.

would there be any 'active' current running through the LED?
cut I just cut it out? or would it just stop working

Mmmm, not sure, I guess it would be just on one of the power lines, but you never know.
If you pull the little plastic bit off the top of it, it will stop working, with it being surface mount you can't realy cut it out.
I could change it to a blue one probably but no guarantees given

I might just 'smoke' the inside of the case a bit?
OK OK, its just for bling reasons....
...and let us not forget that blue is better! :wub

If your going to open the case, just cover the LED with a tiny square of black tape

black marker pen. or hook a superbright blue one up next to it to drown it out.

Doom has it! Tarts wear nail varnish, right? Get down to Boots, buy some cheapo stuff, and overpaint the LED! You're a tart, your car's a tart - QED! :D :D
Chris, this is one of yesterday's best, beats the BBC's flying penguins... ;)

I have my problem resolved by my excellent shell painter, Dragon paints.
some nice smoked windows block out that ugly orange thing!
Cheers Steve!
