Any recommendation for thrust race balls/plates for a 511? I'm not even sure what size they are :(

Dan, use the Tamiya trf 620hc thrust race instead of the standard caged type, tamiya part number is: 42171 they are much better and comes as a set of plates and balls:)

no mate, fit the trf201 thrust race with the tungsten carbide thrust race balls, the centre hole in the washers is larger for the diff screw than the trf511;)
