Anybody know if there will be a shop at the meeting?

Paul Barnes at Eastrax stocks spares - mostly B4 really - he also stocks tyres but these are mostly Ballistic Buggy the last time I looked, because that was the nominated tyre at the winter series. So yes, there is a shop but you may struggle for D4, B44, or Losi parts.

Thats good news Charlie, was asking with the need of Balistic Buggy tyres in mind.

Can't wait for the season to get under way, should be a good one.:)

Hi All
I booked in today and from the list I see that a lot of slow off the mark Holbeach players have not yet done so. I could name seven who told me yesterday they were coming next weekend. I,ll try and hastle them along on Wednesday.

No where near Im afraid mate! Your thinking of Notts and Derby raceway which only race Nitro cars. Eastrax is in wisbeach! About 1 hour 3/4 from where you are thinking!

Remember guys information of all the clubs running regionals this year can be found here:
http://me-or.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=category&sectionid=3&id=5&Itemid=31

Should be enough information to find all of the clubs on this years calendar.

Good meeting on sunday, first time i'd been. The track was very good and organisation went smoothly. It was neat to have under cover pitting (even though the weather was kind on this occassion).
Thanks for putting up with me being .. erm a little late :)

Looking forward to coming back

Great videos, and excellent to have a great bunch in the Mid-East crew that i'm sure will now go from strength to strength

Yeah it was a good race day on sunday. I'm sure over 40 is the highest the Mid east regional has seen for quite some time - which can only be good for the regional as a whole - and year Carl, it is a cool track!! and being 15mins from my house is an excellent feature!

For me personally, a good, but odd day! Was very happy with the lap pace that i was able to get from the car, but the driver wasn't maybe quite as consistant as he needs to be - and a good wrek in the final - on video - about 2:40 in, you can just see this cartwheeling car - and a fair few "ooh's" and "ahh's" from the watching croud

Hi, do you mean the next regional round or the next round at eastrax.?

I ran Ballistic Buggy green minispikes, i think they would do two meetings on astro, three at a push but theyre not as good on grass.

Schumacher Yellow Minispikes are good on both astro and grass and would prob wear a bit better than ballistics.

A good compromise would be Schumacher green minispikes, from an overall perspective traction at various venues vs wear, you could re-use your original inserts if you boil or acetone the original kit tyres off the original rims..

Broxtowe is all grass at the next round(assuming they don't do the multi-surface track), as is holbeach, West bridgford is mainly grass but with a meter wide concrete path through the middle. Safe to say that whatever you buy will work at all three.

Schumacher Yellow Minispikes will last you a while on all grass tracks, For ultimate duration you could buy blues as they will last for ages but can suffer lack of grip when the track gets cut up.

Ballistic buggy tyres are good but each of their compounds are slightly softer than the schumacher equivalent. Ballistic blue or green are good on a damp track.

Can't really comment on the GRP tyres as I have never tried them but they look like a good alternative to the above from what I have heard, Apparently they are not quite as good as Schumacher Yellows on a dry track but they do hold onto their grip better if the track gets damp.

If it's really wet and muddy, then Schumacher full spikes all the way

hi certainly at broxtowe we'll run both classes in fact there will be 'open' heats of both classes to allow for anyone running lipo etc or those that do not wish to compete in the regionals hth;)

Reg,you can race 2wd at 4wd regionals if they are up to the 4wd weight limit.Only 2wd cars at 2wd regionals im afraid although as said there will be open heats for both .

I found that the GRP's had as much grip as the schuey yellows but the wear better, so last longer.
