Hi I have a B4.1 that I got as an RTR package, Its not got enough in it to keep up at the track, partly due to my driving and partly cos its just not quick enough to keep up!! so any bits to help out would be great!!

Wheels/Tyres, Lipo's, Shocks and springs or anything else that will help it move a bit quicker and grip a bit more!!!

I am upgrading the 3300kv motor to a 7.5t so hopefully that will help, any advice would be great too!!

I've been told that silver rear springs and blue front springs are the ones to get so if anyone has a set, please give me a shout!!

What sort of track is it? (can't recommend tyres til we know the surface!)
What battery do you have now?

Its astro turf, The Southport outdoor off road track. at the moment I have a 7.4v 5000mah 40c lipo, other than that its pretty much straight out of the box lol
I am about 8 - 10 seconds off the pace per lap, everyone blasts past me on the straight and I have no hope of catching up at the moment!!

I have bought some wheels off of one of the more experienced guys who has sorted me with some sets he does not use, they are schumacher mini spike tyres for the rear and some schumacher cut staggers for the front, both for wet and dry conditions on the track. They helped a lot, but I have had to have a play with the suspension to stop it grip rolling on every corner!!

I have also tried putting a strip of lead under the battery tray, I was told it would help, but tbh I think the extra weight has just made it a bit sluggish and it was no stallion to begin with!! lol however.....the handling has improved significantly since putting it in there.

Thats about it really, the radio gear is the standard rtr 2.4g stuff that comes with the car when you buy it, I may not have the knowlage to comment on how good or bad it is yet, but it is nice to use.

The shop I got it from sent it with an 11.1v soft lipo pack, I was quickly informed that it was not allowed to be used during a race or on the track cos of the regulations and safety re:lipo's TBH I was gutted cos I asked the guys to send me a pack I could take to the track and race with. I should have done more research really as this had to be replaced before I could use the car.

The Lipo you have now is fine, tbh it sounds like you have most of what you need and a different motor will get you the speed on the straight that you are after.

The springs won't break the bank and if no one has some spare on here you need:
Silver rear - AS6478 - £2.69
blue front - AS6497 - £3.89
(don't know why the shorter springs cost more!)

I found Bradders setup from Southport on the CML website, may be worth comparing that with your setup (although he was running green front springs)

You would have finished half way up the next final. Your qualifying was a bit erratic as we swapped tires.

I have spoken to TommyT who will look over your car before racing on Sunday, as I am not there. He also drives a wheel so he will be able to feel any issues better than me.
