I bought some big bores the other day for my MadRat and the car does not sit right.

I bought these ones http://www.eurorc.com/product/126/teamc-front-shock-absorber---big-bore-2

the pack they came in said they were the front ones but im almost certain they are the rear ones.

Could someone advise how the car should sit, thanks

Pictures? I usually run mine wishbones level at the front and driveshafts level at the back.

I think you need shorter springs, the shocks don't raise your car:confused:

why not compare the new big bores shock bodies and shock shafts with the shock bodies and shafts that you had previously....they may be bigger bore, but the lengths will be the same.

Just check them against the original ones and the big bores are a few cm's longer, looks like i'll have to order some more :) good excuse :)

Just out of interest did you build them all at the same time?

Just looks to me that you have the back ones on the front and the front ones on the back. You haven't put the rear shock shafts in front shocks and the front ones in the back have you?

Just measured my big bores and the total length of mine is 81mm top to bottom. The distance from the top of shock cap, to the bottom of the shock cartridge is just over 45mm. The gap between the top of the shock bottom and the bottom of cartridge is about 21mm.

See if your front shocks measure up like mine.

Only bought front ones, which ended up being rear ones. Ordered some front ones last night and will move the current ones to the rear :)

Received the correct front shocks, originally I had the rear ones on the front now the car sits nicely :)
