Hi all,
I'm very pleased to confirm that I have accepted the position of Team Leader for AR UK.

I hope I can carry on where Stu Wood left off and lead the existing base of club and regional drivers and help any new ones along the way.

If any of the existing drivers need any help please pm me on here in the first instance and I'll be happy to give my mobile number, my email address is alecspringer63@hotmail.com.

You can find me at all the mid west regional meetings this year with the first one being this Sunday at sunny Coventry also I'll be in attendance at all the BRCA off road nationals for 2012, just keep a look out for the Ansmann gazebo and pop over for a chat. I race locally at Telstar Racing in Deanshanger on Wednesday evenings where we have a good base of local drivers supporting both cars and also at Silverstone club nights on Tuesday evenings at Moulton College near Northampton. Both these clubs look after the local racers really well and if you get the chance to come and have a look at either please come and do so. I'll be happy to show anyone my cars and if you want to test out the easiest to drive 2wd car just ask and I'll let you try mine.

Alec

I'm off to Coventry on the astro on Sunday so I'll post the set up for that, to be fair the car is that easy to drive it stays mostly the same everywhere with just some minor tweaks. If you're over at Moulton on Tuesday bring your car over and I'll have a look

I've only done a limited amount of 8th racing so most will know more than I do but I'll certainly be looking out for the 8th drivers and will get up to speed as quickly as possible

Can i just say a huge thanks to Alec today (& all the others pitting with him as well who helped who's names escape me), for all the help at Coventry today, After round 2 i almost felt like going home after a couple of breakages & generally feeling like my car had a hinge in the middle of the chassis, but Alec like the true team leader spotted my problem, pointed me in the right direction & loaned me a spare set of shocks for the rest of the day. Top job.
