i have been looking for a new body shell for my b4 but the one i like is for the b4.1 i no it is 8mm longer but what if i chop 8mm off it will that work

It is extended in the mid section, so probably wouldn't fit. You'll have a gap either at front or to read of chassis tray angled sides.

The normal B4.1 shell will fit, only the B4.1 worlds edition is 8mm longer.

But if you want the world's shell you can get a normal / short version of the Proline Bulldog.
