I've just got a stock BX. And i'm going to use a new Orion Revolution RyanSpecial Edition.
Which pinion should i use when i'm using the 10*1 motor? And what about the 12*1 one?
Thanks a lot.

Hi Jason,
i would take a 16t pinion for the 10x1 motor. try a 18t pinion for the 12x1 motor.
but it's hard to tell since the internal gear-ratio isent mentioned in the instruction-manual.

Hi Marco,
I have counted the internal gear-ratio that is 33/16=2.0675
I'm really afraid of over heat for i used to have lots of this problem when i was using the XXX4G+
It's not easy for me to buy any pinion smaller than 18T. Maybe i'll try the 17T for 12X1 first.
Thanks a lot~
谢谢(Thank u in chinese:D)

i would run a 18t on a 10*1. maybe a 19t or a 20t on a 12. remember though under gearing can be as bad as overgearing.

Hi ryan,
i still have problem about that.
the instruction book said the final ratio = 84/pinion*2.2
so it's 10.87 when i am using a 17T pinion.
and the recommend ratio for V2 Ryan Special on teamorion.com is
10*1 11.52 4wd
12*1 10.02 2wd
so is that safe for me to use the stock pinion on a 12*1? or maybe i should choose a 10*1?
My friends around me have no idea too. They are all afraid of over heat.
Thx.
Jason
thats what i use and also been ok.
