As title, anyone know where i can get a decent high Wattage 12V soldering iron with a good sized tip?

Looking for new rather than anything used and abused,

back in the day i had a really good S.P.E.C racing or WASP one, with different sized replaceble copper tips, it's long gone but i want something similar,

What do you guys use?

had a quick t'internet trawl but didn't find anything that looked up to the job

Hi Mark

I use an Antex but it's 240v . Maplins or eBay.

I find the Schumacher solder to flow the best of the ones I have tried.

The guy who used to sell Wasp soldering Irons did trackside support at West London. He popped down and was was speaking to myself and Nick @ Demon Products. He still has a load left. I think Nick has his contact details. Or maybe someone from West London. Let me know who you get on.

Ive been using the MRT 12v soldering iron for years. In my opinion it's perfect for trackside soldering.

Not sure if they are still available but I'd check out the MRT website.
