Hi Stuart, i think where you have tried to solder the cap back on it is shorted to the motor pole and blown some fets, i think it will be repairable at least i will have a better idea tomorrow when iv opened it all up and tested the fets on there own and replaced the banks that are damaged👍, if its easier to contact you on a phone number just text me on mine, 07763761540
