Got a fancy new macro lens last week so I'll keep my eye out for some insect porn to go with your flies!

It's a very nice pile.

There already, I suspect the remains of a rather poor bmx ramp. I guess the quality of my piles will have to remain unknown for now :eh?:

mole2k 17-09-2007 09:50 PM

I like that funfair shot, its just a pitty that the board is clipping the frame.

What conversion method did you use for your black and white?

P_B 18-09-2007 07:07 AM

Yeah, shame about that board. It was a tad blustery and I wasn't using a tripod so always a risk, should have had a more thorough look at the LCD. Just happy to have an acceptably sharp shot and not be blown into Morecambe Bay, really!

As for b+w, I've tried loads of methods but always struggled to get the result I want. For now I'm experimenting with the Virtual Photographer plugin. Mostly it's a bit gimmicky, though the b+w seems quite good once you tweak the default settings.

mole2k 18-09-2007 02:10 PM

I generally use calculations or channel mixer for my b&w's.

Great photos punisher, did you hang out of another car to take that 2nd shot? It seems a bit far away for a car rig to have been used.

LiamD 20-09-2007 01:43 PM

What are the specs on that Monte Carlo?

It looks fookin awesome!

Runs high 9s in the 1/4mile with spray (nitrous) with full interior.

mole2k 21-09-2007 05:24 PM

Got any details on your rig :) ?

I've been looking to build one of those for myself for car photography for a while now.

i don't think you guys realize this, but most of the "tips" i say are supposed to be funny, and i am not being serious. If something i say doesn't sound completely ludicrous, then i'm probably not joking around. In this cas, LAUGH IT UP!!!:D

No kidding around it's pretty simple.........
Three suction cup clamps on the car with a 10' pole with a swivel clamp mount for the camera at the other end.
