Durango - Dingo motors from what I remember were made by Ralf Krause, a German racer.

The Race Prep was an AYK based motor and SRM did a relabeling job on them. I think I have one in the loft somewhere - got the shaft broken on one of them too!

And I also have one of those Trinitys too - 1 12double that I ran at '92 Pro-10 Worlds at the Ranch Pit Shop.

Reedy Mr. R

1 Attachment(s)
Hi,
I need some help; I am restoring an old RC10 of a friend of mine, well not quite a restore since I am giving it the HD-Pro roll cage treatment, but rather installing new plastic parts, dyeing black everything and a failed attempt to find a cheap Reedy Mr. R motor on ebay. The Mr. R motor was the motor he had installed on the RC10 during his childhood, so I want to give him the surprise. I instead of finding the Mr. R I found this (pic below). So I am going to build the Mr. R motor using spare parts and wind the correct armture, and here is where I need help. I need to know the motor specs; what kind of brushes(lay down or standing), cross cut, serrated, etc.. and the winds # and turns, machined wind or hand wind, soft/hard springs. It does not has to be spot on, but the closer to the real thing the better. After I finish the motor I am going to slap the Mr. R sticker and tell him a white lie ;) He dosent has to know and he will be a happy man :p.

I just found out is a 16 turn, but still need to know how many winds and the other details.
Thanks in advance!

P.S.: You still wind armatures? Do you offer this service to others also?

optiman 05-11-2013 11:50 AM

Thank's Spru!!!
I do wind them from time to time for myself, but nothing that I would feel comfortable doing for others since I am no Jim Dieter, even less charging $$!!! LOL

No ones mentioned the Extreme range that was available through HML yet? I used a fair few of those in my oval time.

Or the other good one was the Longman Torque Stock.

Had this post come up about a year back i still had loads of motors but threw them all out  damn brushless

Kinwald motor

I am looking for a new or nearly new Kinwald motor for a XXX restore, anyone got anything? If I can't get a Kinwald a nice Trinity off road motor would suffice. Ta.

Me too,my "Boss" (AKA the Mrs) wouldn't sanction the funds for brushless/LiPo
anyway.

I have a blue and silver Parma Cyclone Stock 27t,a 19x1 Komodo Dragon and
a 17x2 TMS Challenger.

Great fun to strip and clean then "tweak".
They make the old 'Rat 'boxed Mardave-ish CobRat go well enough.
