We've started work on a fair amount of changes on the track today so those of you attending this will have lots of new and exciting stuff to drive allover, on and round ;)

Pretty sure Moss Models will be there..

Chris Elworthy 29-08-2013 04:50 PM

Hi lads,

I've booked in for this meeting but need to change the PT number I sent with my entry. Who specifically from the BRCA do I need to speak to and how's best to get hold of them?

Chris

Chris Larner 29-08-2013 05:18 PM

EOS

And is there an entry list.

I would try your regional rep first, if that doesn't work try Stuart Whyman - the BRCA timekeeper.

Chris

The BRCA don't produce entry lists due to data protection.

Chris Larner 29-08-2013 05:35 PM

Eos

How do you know you have got your place then?

James 29-08-2013 05:44 PM

I'm just repeating what I have been told, perhaps I should rephrase, they don't produce entry lists for public viewing.

I'm not sure, don't you get confirmation of your entry by post as with the rest of the national series?

Chris Larner 29-08-2013 05:50 PM

Entry

I havnt had anything in the post but the cheque has cleared so I just assume im in. It's just a long way to go if I end up not racing!
Think ill chase it up via my regional rep.
Thanks James for the speedy answers.

Chris Elworthy 29-08-2013 06:27 PM

I'm a little confused also, my regional rep has apparently booked me in for the meeting but I haven't been asked for any cash, I assumed I would pay on the day?

Sorry for all the questions but as this has been done totally by a 3rd party I've no idea what's going on.

Chris

If I'm right you generally have to pay up front.
I've never payed on the day.
I would speek to your rep as those who have payed are the ones that get a place.

PaulRotheram 29-08-2013 07:11 PM

I'm in the same boat as Chris... I booked in via Stuart Wood, the NW regional rep - ive been asked for no cash or received any confirmation.

This needs sorting ASAP as im in the process of booking hotels!

Chris Elworthy 29-08-2013 07:33 PM

I booked in with Woody too Paul, I've just txt him and he says its fine to pay on the day and not to worry? I'm still unsure though I will be gutted if I don't get a place, it's up to you, me, Ash and Gav to retain the regional title for the North West!! Don't know who else is going? Andy and Ben Woods probably and Ant Steel?

Chris

PaulRotheram 29-08-2013 07:42 PM

So far its just you and me that I know of.

I'd like some official confirmation on this, its a 200 mile round trip plus hotels, which is not the cheapest of weekends.

tinnylad 29-08-2013 08:02 PM

Myself and stuart jones booked in via woody too. Hope to hear something about what's happening as its well over 3hr drive for us

Chris Elworthy 29-08-2013 08:04 PM

Same here Paul, I'm only doing 2wd as I don't have a 4. Gav Collingwood is booked in aswell I know that and id imagine Ash Fensom will be there as he was F5 at the start of the year and will have a good chance of doing well.

Chris

PaulRotheram 29-08-2013 08:09 PM

Hes told me hes not running... Not the first time hes fibbed though.

Benwoods 29-08-2013 09:56 PM

Yea me & Andy are meant to be going but in same boat , no confirmation as yet or any other info.

Jlc57 30-08-2013 09:23 PM

Paul crompton's hoping to go for f5

Allan1875 01-09-2013 08:44 AM

In the same boat here, booked in but didn't pay. Been told you pay on the day but i'd still like confirmation i'm in before booking hotels.

hazeandfizz 01-09-2013 09:13 PM

Will we have the luxury of the marquee at the F3,4,5's?

Thanks,
James.

James 01-09-2013 09:19 PM

Sorry James, the numbers we were told to expect didn't warrant it, although it looks like we have a healthy entry this year so in hindsight perhaps we could have done, sorry!

stuart slmcc 02-09-2013 03:31 PM

Last year i booked in with woody and paid on the day when booking in . If its your first time here is my check list
Check the heat listing before you book in on time
Number up your transmitter with your car number and hand it over when you book in it goes in a box for your heat
Take your brca card

and most important Race, Marshal, fix repeat :p

Danny Harrison 03-09-2013 03:59 PM

Hey James, Im confirmed for 4wd Sunday, but quite fancy doing 2wd too now. Whats chances of getting an entry on the day?

James 03-09-2013 04:07 PM

Hi Danny,

The club itself has nothing to do with timing the meeting or taking entries, the BRCA regional reps and then BRCA timekeeper do all of that. You'll have to check with them sorry, I would hope you'd get an entry on the day but thats just speculation.

All - a message below from Paul Worsley regarding entries for the F345's:

F345 Finals -- Robin Hood Raceway -- Sept. 14/15

Closing date for entries for this event was Aug. 25th., as detailed on the entry form that has been on the BRCA website along with all the venue information since early June.

Entries have been submitted by Regional Reps, and the Regional Reps. received confirmation at the end of last week (30th Aug.) that all entries they had submitted had been received and accepted. Therefore all entries at closing date have places at the event.

All entries have to be processed through the Regional Reps. along with the appropriate entry fees. Payment on the day will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances.

If any person that has entered is unsure if their entry has been received, then they should contact their Regional Rep.

There are a few places available in 4WD and we will accept more entries in this Class. These should be processed through the Regional Reps., but the deadline for us receiving them is Sun. 8th.. Sept.

Paul Worsley. (1/10th. Off-Road Section Chairman).

James
What time s access to the site allowed on friday please?

James 04-09-2013 09:09 PM

Access all day friday, i'll open the gates around 10am

dicky14 05-09-2013 07:02 AM

will this meeting be run on rc4 timing equipment?

Mike2222 05-09-2013 08:14 AM

This meeting uses the BRCA timing equipment that has been used all year at
the National series. They use an RC4 decoder, so the usual restrictions on MRT transponders will apply. I believe the BRCA have a few loan transponders for those that do not have RC4 compatable transponders.
