Thanks, find it hard to search through the site and couldn't see it mentioned above. Be nice if some others colors were also available in the aluminum parts (green, yellow, blue).

He was jealous when he saw all my red bits on Sunday

Diesel 05-01-2011 06:56 PM

Here's a comparison for with a simple target: Tresrey or not Tresrey...?
(sorry if my english is not really good...)
I) assumptions and protocol testing: we went on two cars prepared in the following way:
A) the DEX 410 has been minimized height: - media milled dampers - Special damper mount (GB racing!)

http://www.imagefacile.com/img/c7exz..._avant_dex.jpg

- Chassis milled to better distribute the masses (NV10 racing!)

http://www.imagefacile.com/img/mewzj...assis_zoom.jpg
- Team-Durango aluminum driveshaft<O:p</O:p
http://www.imagefacile.com/img/e0uau...e_dex_zoom.jpg

- full titanium screws<O:p</O:p
- Aluminum nuts
- A total of 2 days working …<O:p</O:p
Total weight: 1720 g<O:p</O:p

Diesel 05-01-2011 06:59 PM

B) The DEX 410 Tresrey options equipped following:<O:p</O:p
- carbon chassis 8racing
http://www.imagefacile.com/img/vkfqi_chassis.jpg
- Shock mount first generation
http://www.imagefacile.com/img/wflsw...nt_tresrey.jpg
- Aluminum hub
http://www.imagefacile.com/img/u44b1_hubs_arriere.jpg
- Aluminum Red servo saver http://www.imagefacile.com/img/b97pg...r_de_servo.jpg <O:p</O:p

Diesel 05-01-2011 07:00 PM

All the drive shaft<O:p</O:p
All red anodized washers<O:p</O:p
Rear weight
http://www.imagefacile.com/img/8gded..._arriere_2.jpg

In comparison, DEX 410 "Tresrey" requested less time preparation:<O:p</O:p
Special shock fixation ,<O:p</O:p
Few titanium screws<O:p</O:p

Total weight : 1695 grams<O:p</O:p
We did not have time to compare the new Tresrey shock absorbers but this will be done soon.
<O:p</O:p

Diesel 05-01-2011 07:01 PM

1) Electronics was the same :
http://www.imagefacile.com/img/gu9yh_tresrey.jpg

Same type of ESC<O:p</O:p
Same radio<O:p</O:p
Same engine<O:p</O:p
Same cells<O:p</O:p

Diesel 05-01-2011 07:04 PM

II) On the track :<O:p</O:p
Two drivers have made 6 minutes run, each lap has been timed and analyzed.
A. as a first step, we had set our cars to best lap time.
In our comparison, we had :
- adjust oil dampers to face the low temperature.
- Reverse shock absorbers between the two car,
- Switch rear u carbon and plastic car to another,
- To escape "pilot" parameter we have driven a car then another after each setting.

Diesel 05-01-2011 07:05 PM

The Track :
Fabulous indoor circuit of QUARTZ in La Ferté Gaucher in France. : http://www.quartzrc.fr/<O:p</O:p
The outside temperature was-2 °C and the runway was cumulating 2.1°C at the best of the day…<O:p</O:p
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpLH0QQyALY
The Look :<O:p</O:p
It is hard to make a judgment, photos speaks themselves…<O:p</O:p

Diesel 05-01-2011 07:06 PM

The reliability:<O:p</O:p
The carbon chassis is very lightweight 60 grams (that is half the weight of the original aluminum chassis). However, it is very resistant to shock, we could check in some pretty crashes…<O:p</O:p
The aluminum parts will not break as easily as the plastic; it is very reassuring in course…<O:p</O:p
However I have reserve in case of shock. Indeed, it is possible to twist a part of the car and do not see it at first glance.
Tresrey parts permit to race without asking any questions during the race, this does not prevent checking if there is nothing has been twisted during the heat.
<O:p</O:p
The behavior:<O:p</O:p
Very nice for each of the cars with notable differences:<O:p</O:p
o The DEX 410 seems easier,<O:p</O:p
Accelerations are more progressive<O:p</O:p
A nice behavior cornering<O:p</O:p
Very stable<O:p</O:p

Diesel 05-01-2011 07:08 PM

o The DEX Tresrey seems more nervous,<O:p</O:p
More steering<O:p</O:p
React much more in air<O:p</O:p
V) Lap timing:<O:p</O:p
With DC Systems lap counting and curves analysis.<O:p</O:p
Here is a comparison chart:<O:p</O:p
http://www.imagefacile.com/img/qgpg3_chronos.jpg <O:p

Diesel 05-01-2011 07:09 PM

Found that cars are not responding the same way to parts changing.
http://www.imagefacile.com/img/mlnk2...que_chrono.jpg
The best lap times have been achieved with the DEX 410 21.41 for “Jey Full GaZ” and 21,45 for Diesel. DEX Tresrey reach 21,56 respectively and 21,50. It is interesting to see that the average of all times for each of them and see : the best lap are faster to 1/100 for DEX 410 that average lap is quicker to 1/100 for DEX Tresrey that dispersal of the lap times is lesser of 55 1/10th for DEX Tresrey and 47 1/10th for DEX 410.
Conclusion:
If you like to prepare your car, DEX 410 allows you to reach high performance.
Purchase parts Tresrey allows you to limit the time of preparation to get the same result in two hours of building.
Aluminum parts is a significant reliability improvement during races. Aluminum driveshafts are better to avoid having too much mass height, specially using the carbon chassis.
