Charger/power supply

I’m in the process of looking for a power supply for a I charger 406 duo
This is my first step into charging and discharging at higher amps
I haven’t got the icharger yet but after some research it seems to stand out from the rest
So upto now it’s looking like the one I’ll get (any recommendations on other chargers for higher amp charging would be great)

What would you recommend I use 2cell lipos only

I’m just looking to charge them faster

Any pointers would be great thanks

Thanks

Bear in mind that due to brca general rules, you are only permitted to charge lipo at manufacturers spec, if that's not posted on the lipo list you are restricted to 1c charge rate

This applies anywhere as your bound by general rules. (Though what you do in your own home is up to you) breaking this rule will see you void your brca insurances

That’s something I never give any thought too
What is the general amp charge to keep within the rules charging 7.6v 2 cell intellect lipos

1C or if it says you can charge that specific battery higher on the lists here https://www.brca.org/documents/batte...ion-lists.html whatever it says you can charge it at.

I don't know those exact batteries but if they're 5,000mAh 1C is 5A, 2C is 10A, 3C is 15A etc.

Edit to add..... if they're the HV lipos they can still only be charged to the normal max lipo voltage 8.4V (rule copied out beloew)

3.7 LiPo/LiFe batteries may be charged to a maximum of:-

2S Batteries may be charged to a maximum of 8.40v (LiPo) resp. 7.40v (LiFe).
1S Batteries may be charged to a maximum of 4.20v (LiPo) resp. 3.70v (LiFe).

LiPo/LiFe drive batteries must be a ’Lipo sack’ at all times when being charged or discharged. This applies to any discharging procedures except during a race or when using organiser supplied resistors.

As my post if it does not state it on the list, it's 1c, so as above a 5000mah would be 5 amps a 8000mah would be 8 amps,

If you have 7.6v Lipo you can only charge them to 8.4volts max

Thanks for the reply’s it’s a lot to learn I’m thinking the icharger 406 is a bit of an over kill for my needs

Any recommendations
it would be even better if I could just have a higher amp charger without the need for a power pack

If I’m right the 3c charge rate for my 6000mah battery’s would be 18 Amps
