The '15 xb4 rumor mill

is it in the pipeline?

The rumour or the car?

I doubt there will be much of a change, maybe an update? I would presume Xray are concentrating on the new 2wd mid / rear buggy (as seen at the Euros) and hopefully an update to the XB4 2wd - hopefully with a proper 2wd front end. Who knows, Xray are very secretive...

I bet we'll see an option chassis with shorty and motor facing backwards (light edition)

Some of them were using a centre diff at the Euros, so anything new will probably be to allow that to fit.

My guess:

Centre diff kit conversion/upgrade. Looking at Savoya's buggy with the centre diff, it had a new top deck, new centre(rear) moulded slipper mount and a new centre rear CVD (68mm).

Maybe some Smokem like shock towers with the extra camber holes.

Praying for metal bevel and pinion gears.

My bet is it'll still run the composite spider gears and no shorty conversion until 2016.

They will market the buh-jaysus out of it though if the T4 '15 is anything to go by:woot:

I don't want metal gears, the transmission is light with the composite gears, which is why it's so quick accelerating. Never broken a gear in 2 years.

Agreed!

OTOH I've had big problems with the drive joints! Alu cups, pin with flatfield and cylinder with set-screw should be standard for 2015!!! This is a quite costly "Service Pack 1" IMO... :D

I've always ran the metal gears but might give the plastic a shot for weight reasons.

It's ballistic off the line and over jumps cos the drivetrain is so light. The pred was phenomenally fast for the same reason.
