TM2 Spur Gear housing

Hi guys,

Another question for you as I continue to build my TM2. I hope you don't mind.

I've built the spur gear/slipper up and have test fitted it to the housing/bearing hangers on the chassis. I'm finding that it doesn't seem to sit quite true... The slipper plates seem to be rubbing against the plastic part that connects to the chassis.

Has anyone else had this issue, and how did you solve it? I'm thinking of lightly dremmeling where the rubbing is occurring...

Cheers

Joe

Yes had the rear of the slipper rubbing against the plastic surround a pair of side cutters soon sorted it though and all good:thumbsup:

The plastic housing is located by the top plate, it's easy to let the housing slip inside the locating groove & it then catches on the slipper plate..
Good luck..Cheers, Gord...

Thanks guys, this was a problem all of my own making.

I'd test-fitted the slipper to the lower housing (the bits that attach to the chassis) and was getting rubbing of the slipper against the housing. As soon as I fitted the spur cover, this forced the lower housing into the correct position. Hey presto, no more rubbing.
