Nice idea, but hydrogen is a little volatile for off road. Plus transporting it would be a nightmare!

poopers 04-02-2010 11:10 AM

Great scott!! Just don't hit 88 mph:woot:

how much do you want one now. where can i get a water car............
and if i cant i am making one

Piman 04-02-2010 11:59 AM

Yes, but unfortunately at the moment it takes far more power to extra the Hydrogen from water than you get from the Hydrogen in the power cell.

They are working on ways to do this efficiently with some potential solutions but nothing likely for some time.

extrcting the hydrogen from water is powered of the car battery which is charged off the altenator which is powered by the engine...................................running on the hydrogen. just add water and you got all the power it needs.

still want a h20 car (diesels pricey)
and a h20 rc car (nitros crap)

Hog 04-02-2010 03:11 PM

I'm not convinced.

Elliott Hopkins 04-02-2010 03:12 PM

I'm afraid not. Horizon are the only company making thses awesome toys at the minute.

I have a lower grade FC model car from Horizon in the lab. It's quite cool.

Horizon aren't mucking about here, this is a pretty awesome looking, well designed product.

Nothing will be done untill the oil runs out, or untill they work out how to tax rain water:rolleyes:

blue_pinky 04-02-2010 05:34 PM

A company I've worked for is also doing work on this technology...def has some efficiency issues to work out, but it does seem to be coming along! Not sure how quickly in reality when it comes to day to day applications, but you never know ;)

JohnM...I think you could be onto something on the taxes thing though

Battle_axe 04-02-2010 05:50 PM
