What cells for stick pack?

What are good sub-c cells to make stick packs out of? I want to put some in the M-03 and DF-03. So far all the reviews on the net seem to talk about matching and voltage but nobody says much about durability, which is my main concern. All the matchers seem to favour IB3800 and IB4200 cells and say they last okay when "treated properly".

I'm not looking for cells that I have to keep in a saddle or inline pack or needs discharging but only up to 0.9V and and not more than once a day, etc etc.

I just want some stick packs to power 23-turn and above motors. They can either be dirt cheap or long lasting. What do I get?

All the LHS here (Malaysia) sells only IB cells now. GP cells I have to buy over the internet and seem to be too expensive anyway. Help!

GP3300, 3700 and 4300 NiMH cells offer great capacity but durability is not so good. For a destruction proof cell choose Sanyo RC2400 NiCd, it has cycle life double that of the high capacity NiMH cells due to its sintered/sintered electrode construction. The even lower Capacity 2000mAh cells from Sanyo offer even better cycle life. The problem is that for competitive racing, NiCd capacity is just not high enough....

I see. Thanks for the help, Neil. I'll see what I can find at the battery supplier.
