VINTAGE RACE MEETING at Coventry Model Car Club.
 

Hi all,

Calling all Vintage Racers....:thumbsup:

Coventry Model Car Club, will be holding a Vintage Race Meeting at there new club and 1/10 Astro Track.

It is a complete 1/10 Astro Turf track with jumps, banked corners and table top cross over.

The dates are yet to be confirmed, but will not clash with any other Vintage Meeting.

Classes to be held are,

2wd Vintage
4wd Vintage
Stadium Truck Vintage
Rally Vintage

Sounds good, like the idea of a extra outdoor event for the year. Posted this on Kettering Model Car Club facebook page. We have 7/8 drivers racing in the Iconic Revival this year so should be able to put a few cars on the various grids. With the Cathorpe Interchange finished Coventry just got 10 mins nearer to Kettering too.
Look forward to news on a date for the event.

Yep...I'm interested. Gutted not got an entry for the revival meeting so this would be great.

Gates open at 7.30am.

Booking in from 8.00am-8.15am

Drivers Briefing 8.45-9.00am

First race on line 9.15am-9.30am Dependant on numbers

X4 Qualifying runs

X1 Final for all

If you wish to run more than one class, please fill in a 2nd booking in form stating the class and year again.

No Nominated tyres.
No motor Limit
Motors to be run, Brushless/Brushed
Batteries, Lipos/Nicads

Up to 1998- Losi XX-CR, B3, XX-4 etc.....

Directions to Track are,

Leave M6 Jct 1
Head towards Rugby
At 3rd round about (Kipling Island) turn right (swift valley Industrial Est)
At next round about turn right
At next round about turn right by (DHL) Follow narrow Lane to Farm.
Turn left into Farm 10mph SPEED LIMIT !!
Follow drive to track.

Please note that all round abouts are close together and Track is approx 5 mins from M6.

What about tyres/motor limits etc?

No Motor Limit
No Nominated Tyres.

The tyres are the usual,

REAR, Mini Spike, Darts, Ballistics
FRONT, Staggers

Blocks, spikes, etc...

Or any tyres for the class you will be running.:thumbsup:
