Im after a shorty battery for my 2wd, ive been looking at these

also considering the abisma shorty.
any other (budget) recommendations
or are the above batteries decent

You might find the trackstar a bit short of juice at 2400! But you'll be fine with the absima 3800 lcg.

Turnigy ultimates from hobbyking are good value for money and brca legal

Look at vapextech from vapextech UK have run them for years and no issues
