Phone choice
Hi guys my phone broke (k800i) :( was insured and have the following choice of phones to replace it:
Mike. |
Don't go for the w880 as they have lots of problem. It has now been replaced by the w890 which is a very good phone(the other half got one).
|
Prob the k810i, direct replacement to the k800 but with new keypad. z8 is bulky, the w880 is ok, Ask for the k850 if you can or even the w890 , Check out www.gsmarena.com

me and Doddy have got the Sony Ericsson W880i, it's crap.
it's really slim, so it's great to fit in your trouser pockets, but the rest of it is bobbins. ...it's proned to switching itself off randomly, the camera is crap, the screen scratches really easily, and the buttons are too close together so it's really hard to text..... |
I have an 880 - I think it's nice - nice and solid so I've not broken it yet. the camera is useless tho.
|
ok i've decided the 880i is out of the question now from what you guys have said about it and i generaly dont like motorola much so the z8 is out of the question too, i'll see if i can sqeeze the insurance to give me an 890i or go with the 810i as ive seen alot of k550i phones get dust stuck behind the screen and camera.

phone your network operator and see if there are any upgrades first

has it not just switched off during a phone call yet? the Quadrapop game is pretty good when i'm having a no.2 though  |
My w880 has been dropped, sat on, slept on, kicked etc and is still going strong nearly a year on. No random cut-off's etc. Camera is pants though as said. K850 is cool I have to say, and not vert different to the k800 or k810 with exception of better camera.

the switching off problem with the 880 is because of a known manufacturing defect and is repaired under warrenty,
the main board in all 700 and 800 sony ericssons is the same so the k800, and 810 880 and 890 are basically the same handsets the slim handsets just have a 4 year old camera module so they can be made so small |
