Mid motor convertion u turn???

Just wondering if anyone with the above layout on there KF2 is reverting back to the original forward motor layout with the shorty pack....i heard from a good source at Silverstone last week that a top national driver has done this.
I would appreciate anyones opinion who has raced the two layouts and who is reverting /reverted back to forward motor layout and why.
In my opinion the mid conversion im running isnt much better in low grip conditions than the original layout.
Any thoughts please would be helpful . thank you....

I suppose it's just preferance I like my KF2 in the mid set up but that's running on rubber floor and worn tyres at chadderton

I'd be interested to know whether the change is worth it

It is most likely that the weather is forcing most people indoors where most tracks are high grip. With high grip you run the weight as far forward & low as possible, opposite true for very low grip.
With that in mind soon as it starts to dry people will be back outside where it'll be slippery & back the motors will go. In moving the motor back past center of wheelbase you also get a change in the torque reaction which also aids traction, double benefit.

When (if) the sun comes out the motors will go forward again.
Kf2 owners are lucky in having the choice to move that much weight around as easily.

i have run the KF2 on wet astro in both MM and LG, LG is faster round TORCH than MM.

For whatever reason, in wet/damp conditions, I am faster around Herts track, in the middle motor position and shorty Lipo.

thats why the KF2 is quality, so many options for different tracks

Silverstone winter championship

1st Charlie Ware - forward motor
2nd Tom Yard - rear/mid motor
3rd Nathan Waters - mid/mid motor

Charlie is running forward saddle pack configuration because he only has saddle batteries in his box at this time.

All about the thumbs
KF is good in what ever position you run the motor.
