1/10th Electric Off-Road Worlds 2009

Anybody from Australia coming to the Worlds?

If not what are the reasons.

I wish I was going - Why Not? Money, time off work, baby due maybe next year

Holeshot, we were looking forward to having a few Aussies over!!!!

We gave you a good hiding in the rugby over the weekend!!!

What's the vibe over there? Do you know who is coming? Let us know.

Read some negative stuff over on RC Tech about US racers not wanting to go because it's dangerous.

I would be keen to come over. I have no idea how to enter, and would have to raise some funds for the trip. I like to drink heaps of beer when traveling.

If the rest of the world is a bunch of scared people that don't want to travel. That is saddening. I think it might be more to do with the economy, a lot of people are hurting.

Rugby  I don't follow that kind of stuff. Congrats...

Its prolly safer than parts of america over in south africa though. How odd they don't wanna go.

Tourist America is pretty safe. The wussy people who are too scared to go over to SA from the US, probably live in some nice neighborhood, and only drive to the track and back home :p

Such a bummer for the people hosting the event. Maybe it is all fake phobia and racers will be there in force. I would go in an instant if racing for a team etc.. Sounds cool.

chances are if you were racing for a team it wouldn't be your decision to go or not...

geerno 13-08-2009 01:21 PM

Any UK drivers signed up to go?

From what I have heard, that seems to be the flip scenario in some cases for this event.

You are right though, one team manager said he wont send anyone from his team there, he doesn't want the responsibility if something happens.

Anyway, all the info I know has been picked up from forums, so might be a load of rubbish. I have not heard anything first hand. Will ask around my club this Sunday to see if any Aussies are heading over.

I personally would love to head over there. Even if not racing, it would be an awesome adventure.

Toadeh & Geerno,

Nice to hear nice comments about South Africa from the Aussies.

Get a few buddies together and come over an adventure!!!!!! Beer is very cheap and I think you will like our nice woman. The track is very close to the varsity.....
