RC10 RPM 91 w0RldS Build (NEON GREEN)

Hi all,

I will be doing a RPM 91 w0RldS (NEON GREEN) Original B Stamped build and thought I would share the progress along the way.

I am hoping to collect the chassis this Saturday and awaiting a few parts to arrive from the USA, but have the majority to make a start.

I have painted the body and stickered it over the weekend. I mainly ran these colours back in the day with a change of green to the rear. I preferred the metallic green to the racing green.

Any ideas which team driver these colours are......:)

Pictures coming now !!!

Not exactly the same but has similarities to Masami Hirosaka 1991 paint scheme (rainbow colours and metallic green)?

Good guess bigalbi. I see the similarities but not right.

This actual scheme was a Team Associated UK driver.

Mr Marc Neale.

He had light green at the rear. I think it was actually (PACTRA RACING GREEN) but back in 1991/92 ish I changed it to metallic green and recreated what did back then.........:thumbsup:

I looked at it yesterday and thought it reminded me of Plank's shell, but wasn't sure. Seems I was right!

As always, your knowledge, attention to detail and workmanship are on another level Mark...👏
Looking forward to the chassis build..!

So what's the difference between this one and the other RPM one you did other than the colour?

Which RPM build Daz.

The RPM Ultra (white) was RPMs conversion.

The NIX 91 was the shapeways parts of the RPM 91 Worlds.

The above were white parts. This will be NEON GREEN with A & L parts, RPM BLACK parts, LUNSFORD parts, All genuine with NO repro parts.

I have been working on parts today, so will show parts later.......

Chassis

3 Attachment(s)
So collected the NEON GREEN B stamped chassis today.

This is a early Original B stamped chassis for the Team Car back in 1991. If you look at the battery holes, there are 2 that are off set. Another 2 were drilled by Team Associated to the correct position and countersunk for the battery cup. You will notice the other were just left.

This was corrected in later Team Car kits with only the 2 holes for the battery cup in the correct place.

You can just make out the B stamp at the rear just behind the gearbox fixing holes

Information on RPM Parts

3 Attachment(s)
Hi all.

I just thought I would share the information on this build and the differences between the RPM Parts being used.

I would just like to share this info as well.

In 1991 the IFMAR Worlds was held in Detroit. Yes the never released STEALTH car was used by Mashami if that's the correct spelling and a few other Team Associated drivers, but not all.

So questions have been asked as to why RPM used the heading RPM 91 WORLDS.

Well its simple, the Associated drivers who did not have the STEALTH used the RPM 91 WORLDS Parts. So there you have it..........

So there are 2 RPM wishbones front and rear for the Associated RC10.

This version I'm using,

1.RPM 91 WORLDS front and rear.!!!!!!!
&
2.RPM RC10 front and rear wishbones. (Team Car)

The main difference is the length of the wishbones front and rear.

1.RPM 91 WORLDS

Front using the RC10T bulkhead and Nose plate due to length of front arms.
Rear using template to cut rear of chassis due to length of rear wishbones.
This allows the width to be the same once fitted, otherwise would be to wide if fitted straight onto a Team Car RC10. Also the wishbones on the 91 worlds only have 2 mounting holes.

2.RPM RC10 Arms.

These are a direct replacement for the TEAM CAR or to make the CLASSIC have the same width as the TEAM CAR. Basically and up grade. Also has 3 mounting holes in wishbones

You will notice the difference in length in the rear wishbones I'm picturing and the rear of the chassis cut down. Also a few stickers fitted to the chassis as I did back then and the battery cup fitted. You will see how much wider the rear wishbone is compared the standard RC10 WORLDS Wishbone.

Hope that makes sense...........
