4 Hr VINTAGE ENDURO-Melbourne/Australia

Last year Antony and the Knox club in Melbourne Australia put on a 2 hour vintage buggy enduro. The event was so much fun they have decided to put it on again only this time doubling the race time to 4 hours.
I have been working on a couple of buggies to take down to the event and still am not sure which car to enter. I'll be in Melbourne for 5 days so Im sure i'll get plenty of running in that time. The event will be held this coming Sunday at the Knox club but we'll be there turning a few practice laps out leading up to the event. When i return I will update the post and hopefully add some fresh pics too. Cheers-Jason.

Northy go wash your mouth out. i thought you were a vintage Schuey guy? :D

I'm just a 'vintage' guy, but I am now looking at building a competitive Cougar 2 runner :woot:

But seriously, we entered a team the other year in an 8 hour endurance race, which was pretty much made up of RC10 tub cars and we didn't embarrass ourselves :D Running agains modern 2 and 4wds :)

I also just finished 3rd with my tub at our last Indoor regional :thumbsup:

My Cougar2 at the back of the line up is a Works model and Im running Core5000 lipo and 13.5 GTB. It wont get entered into the enduro but I'll be runing it over the 5 days Im donw there. In my opinion, racing an old RC10 is the easiest option but if you want to win in style i reckon the Schueys are gold. Ive been trying to race a modded Topcat for a while now and while the car is fast in a straight line the steering is a real issue along with recovery from some jumps. The Cougar2 just eats that car alive. so how goes your search for a Cougar2 so far?

I ran a 4900 lipo and Nosram 6.5 in the RC10 - it was FAST :woot::woot:

I have a couple of Cougar 2's already and a Cougar 1, I just need to make one good one out of them and find some spares - can't race without spares :(

I'd imagine there would be no shortage of Schumacher spares in the U.K. God knows how much ive bought from over there. If you get stuck on anything drop me a PM and I will see what I can do to help you out. Atleast Kamtec has repro bodies for you.
