been there and dunnit so stopped using the masks :(

a bit off masking tape stuck on the residue the removed fast usually gets the residue off tho

julianb 08-06-2011 05:30 PM

Yeah, usually I forget to stick them on. No more window masks for me, just good old liquid mask!!! It's easier to see the mould lines anyway!

cheers

Nice Job looks really good, Like previously said I tend to use liquid mask for the whole body but when I do occasionally use the window masks I try to make sure that there really cool so the glue doesn't seem to leave residue behind as much.

Top work tho!

Nice to get a bit of recognition from the acknowledged pro's!

Casting around for some waterslide decal paper to make a few sponsor logos now... ;-)

eyeayen 13-07-2011 10:59 PM

Most good model shops should have that in stock, you can get 2 different types, inkjet or lazer. You might find more luck in a model railway shop or a boat specialist as the car / helicopter people aren't so interested. It would be expensive but SPOT ON are the best waterslide people I know, they'll make them to order but you'd end up paying a lot due to set up fee's. Other people do it, usually advertise on model railway forums and mags, I contacted some private people advertising they did it but found there service unreliable.
