Which mid motor?

So, I've gone and fell in love with the Team C TM2SC. And my heart is telling me to go and and buy one. But my head is telling me to buy a Durango, mainly because most of the lads I run with have one. I cannot find any setup info for the Team C, haven't a clue where to get spares. So come on convince me I need the lovely Team C. discuss.

I have read a lot lately about Durango spares availability, or lack thereof, I have a dex410. By the same token, I run an Ansmann Mad Monkey, and a TC02T, and have no trouble with spares.

Make of that what you will, try and find pros and cons for both, then make your own decision.

Where's the best place for team c spares then for starters?

Mb models, top notch for spares

Any setup sheets anywhere? I can only find for the ts2.

Does it share parts with the buggy?

We carry the spares for the TeamC truck as I ran one last year. Spares can be problematic for trucks as hardly any are sold making it not cost effective keeping them in. That's why most shops don't carry them.

Another one worth looking at is the new TLR 22.2. Thinking of running one myself for this year.

+1 on the tlr 22sct 2.0, been running one since xmas and its been awesome

Didn't really need another option throwing into the mixer. What didn't you like about the teamc?

Moss Models 09-03-2015 09:49 PM

I didn't not like it I just like to try different things. Because we are one of the only shops that support and stock short course I like to try all the cars. I do have to say the quality of the TLR kits is far above the others.

Or to throw in another option.... get a cheap Associated SC10 and convert it into an SCX60-CF or soon to be released SCX-61 from X-Factory, then you can see what an awesome MM SC can really do......

Imo for what its worth, go with the Durango... share spares and setups with the guys you run with and the gap of spares available has been sorted know, and its a great Truck in mm

nope have not needed to yet, out of the box in rear motor the truck is fast, stable and very easy to drive, i raced on dry astro tonight, and my best lap was 2secs clear of the rest of the pack, plus 1 lap up, its a seriously good truck!
