need good self adhesive velcro, and servo tape

as per the title, I need recommendations of decent sticky velcro to hold shells on, but also I need some decent double sided foam tape, fed up with ESC coming loose in my 4wd and in most cases it then jams steering :(

I clean chassis and bottom of ESC with acetone, but after couple of races, its loose, and I get grumpy LOL

ideally ebay sellers are preferred as saves me creating accounts with a new shop etc, but if not then such is life

thanks

Servo tape

Halfords sell reel of sticky tape used for sticking car number plates. It's mega strong. Get my Velcro from John Lewis craft dept. Cheap as chips and very good, sold by the metre.

Maplin do large rolls of velcro and servo tape, that are both good quality

I find that "most" sticky back Velcro works pretty well if you stick it and then let it have a few hours before starting to use (I.e. Apply today and don't use til tomorrow)
The clear double sided tape is brilliant for fixing ESCs etc. Don't know name, sorry

Halfords do a good double sided tape, black tape.

I also use halfords velcro but do put a grp tape on my painted shell to protect the paint and it also means if the velcro ever comes loose its not an issue replacing.

Dont bother with foam type tape, get some VHB gell tape, extremely sticky and peels off in one lump when you need it off.

VHB tape made by 3M also available on eBay

Use VHB for sticking body trim to cars. Its far stronger than you need for RC cars.

It's bloody brilliant, i use it everywhere.

I've even stuck worktops to units with it.......

3M VHB tape for flat shiny surfaces, full size car badge tape on more porous surfaces (halfords or similar black colour), and velcro (pukka brand not a copy) velcro tape. I find sticking velcro to a buggy chassis side also needs superglue to help it stick as the plastic has a slight texture. Use the hooks on the chassis and furry loops on the body

Best and cheapest double sided tape that ive ever used.....!!!

Original velcro and Muchmore double side tape type 2 for me. Before the MM tape, I used 3M tape, but it would always lose its adhesive properties before I used all of it. Bottom line, I prefer paying a little more for the tape and my electronic items stay where they are supposed to.
If the sticky side of some older velcro comes loose from either the body or the chassis, I reattach it with tyre glue or shoe goo, but at least the hooks and loops continue to work after quite some time opposed to the other stuff I tried before.
