British Heart Foundation Ride Sherwood Pines 2011
Some of us RC racers prefer a less noisy fiddly racing and like to get fit at the same time.
So a bunch of us did the British Heart Foundation Charity ride on Sunday Oct 16th Starting at Sherwood Pines.. It was 36 miles out to Clumber park and around then back. RC Racers were Glyn " BRM" Ward Brian Shardlow Mat Bridge Lee Spencer Steven " Ex Big Bad " Bond Mick Ramsbottom And Brians Mate Adam Unfortunatly I have to report that due to all the training this last year and a half.. I finnished first in 2hrs 44 mins. Next was Glyn, Mat and Lee... including punctures at 3 hrs and the Brian , Adam and Mick at 3hrs 30 mins.. Good time was had by all as can be seen by the smiles... Next task for me is a Triathlon in July 2012...EeeeeeK ! BHF is a good cause, i'm doing the High Peak Winter Challenge next month for them. :thumbsup: |
well done:thumbsup: my brother just did the bhf run from manchester to blackpool at night 65 miles he managed it in 2 hours 40mins on a full suspension mtb:woot: hats off to all you guys doing your bit for charity:)

What's this Triathalon you have in mind? I'd like to try something like that (I would be super rubbish at it!) Are you raising money online anywhere for BHF? |
