HB 2WD buggy

Hot Bodies has a 2WD buggy in the works according to their team drivers, who were hoping to have it at the World Championships the other week. I assume it's been delayed to make it super-duper, and being tested right now...

So, has anyone seen it?! Any photos kicking around?

Anybody knows where the motor will be located? Rear? Mid?
Are HB shocks better than Asso? Better than Losi?

We want news!!!! :p

Nick Goodall 24-09-2007 12:33 PM

I've "Heard" it will be very close to a B4, so i would expect rear mounted motor etc.

jimmy 24-09-2007 12:36 PM

Anyone know if this has been race tested yet? I mean secretly dug out at a Regional or club race, maybe with an existing shell on to mask it?

lazerboy 24-09-2007 04:17 PM

that sounds cool, but it will probably be another clone that's more expensive than the original.

 How about lets wait and see before you slate it

DCM 24-09-2007 05:18 PM

it would probably be cheaper or same price, they would commercialy shoot themselves in the foot if they over priced the car!

lazerboy 24-09-2007 06:08 PM

the d4 should not have a $500 price tag, it should be more like the associated b44 at $325. They are both copies of the bj4, but i thnk that the associated is actually better than the bj4. Hot bodies is known for always overpricing their items. HPI should do a better job of regulating this division.

DCM 24-09-2007 06:15 PM

you got the wrong end of the stick, because the dollar is soooo weak it means that ALL foreign goods end up costing more, due to the exchange rate. In the UK, pricing is far more competitive. Although it does mean that buying from the states is far nicer!

lazerboy 24-09-2007 08:18 PM

you are the first person to finally understand that! When people are lookin to get stuff, i will post the product they are looking for from an online retailer over here. The international express shipping from this company is $24.95 (1 week delivery) and standard flat rate is $8.99(1-4 week delivery, but closer to 4. flat rate.) This company isalready cheaper than most online retailers, and the shipping just makes it better.

I think it should be mid-motor'ed to help introduce them into the US.

lazerboy 26-09-2007 08:44 PM
