Round 1 Bury Metro Race Report

For those of you that missed the oOple oOoo’s meeting this weekend just gone it was an epic weekend, despite the rain all day Friday and Saturday the track held up amazingly with only a couple of puddles which we changed the layout slightly to avoid, meaning we had 3 hours of practice on Saturday morning.

Drivers briefing and the raffle finished just before dinner and shortly after four rounds of qualifying started, all in the rain.

As at all oOple rounds this year the chosen tires for the rear axle are Schumacher Mini Darts or Proline Pyramids in any compound.

Sunday was dry and bright, with the track slowly drying out all day, with only a few damp spots around the track. Tyres played a big part for most of the last 2 rounds of qualifying, and it was 2 from 6 to count which mixed overall standings up from the Saturday, after the qualifying we followed with 3 leg 6 minute finals for all!!

Simon Wales took the E final win with a 1/1/1.

Matt Hinks took the D final win with a 2/1/1.

Kevin Kitchen took the C final win with a 5/3/1.

Damian Whittle won the B final.

2wd A final - Super Stu Wood winning the A final overall.
