Protecting Nitro Shells

Hi all. Just wondering if you need to back a nitro body with something to protect the paint from the nitro fumes etc? Will be using acrylics (Hobbynox/Vallejo).

Thanks in advance,
Jay.

A paint called nitro block mate, it's a clear spray that's applied after the shell is finished

Gavin, where do you buy it from? Struggling to find it at the moment. Have you ever tried a normal lacquer like the one on the link? Acrylic based so shouldn't react with the Hobbynox and Vallejo, just not sure of durability.
