Robin Hood Raceway Arena

We have started construction of our RHR Arena.

It will be fully enclosed, well lit, power, astroturf floor multi-use venue, eg indoor pitting when racing on the outdoor tracks, and a race venue in it's own right throughout the year, extending our venues useability by 5 months through the winter period..

It will also be available for various other functions..

We'll keep updating you with progress and further information.

:)

If you build the clay track on one of these you could move it in and out, shouldn't be to expensive:lol:

Only in USA could you dream that sort of thing up, then get the $$ to build it, and thats not the only one!

Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh james

For what its worth for any readers James and the york crew ( previously the old worksop crew ) have made a massive contribution to UK off road racing scene with RHR astro and dirt tracks hosting the euros a massive acheivement
James also a big part of the worksop indoor series organising team( usually the poor bugger tasked with designing each track .
To boot hes a top F1 grade driver and thoroughly nice gent to talk to and always willing to help anyone in need

James certainly doesnt deserve any of these negative comments he is one of the hardworking people that allow us to enjoy our hobby
your efforts are certainly appreciated by me
regards dave

Don't think there's any negative comments unless I've missed them! But thanks for the backup if I did and nice comments Dave! :)

It would be good to cover the dirt but it would never be financially viable, you would need a larger building with greater cost and wouldn't get the numbers week in-week out, year in year out.

The astro track works really well wet or dry so that should stay outdoors.

This new building ticks most boxes and crosses over outside the R/C only market, we can use it as a function venue for pretty much anything, in a nice rural location with parking, caravan space etc . We will keep improving the site long term, this is a substantial investment and leap into a 'proper venue'.

My only regret so far is the dirt track doesn't get used more, but could we top the Euros? It's arguably worth it for that alone! It's really down to our poor weather, it's always there though so it will be used again :)

Apolgies if ive misread anybodies "negative " responses
I'm looking forward to dry, powered pitting facilities !!
Is it going to be ready for the invernational 17 ?

Think we will be attending this year if we can get in

RHR is already a fantastic setup, thanks to James and his support team. The addition of an indoor track, well words almost fail me..! It must then rank as one of the most complete Raceways in the World, never mind the UK.
Stuff that dreams are made of... wish I lived closer..!
