Iso, im fine mate with wheels. Would have bought the yok wheels but cant use the hubs so pointless having the wheels.

welsh what do you want for the yok adapters ?????

Welshy40 27-10-2010 07:18 PM

mmmm well would you happen to know who made the one off design wheels for the B2 / B3 that resembled the Durango DEX410 rear wheels back in the 90's? I had a couple of sets of those when I was racing my B2 and were superb looking wheels.

Still if you cant find those I would be up for a couple of left (9370) and a couple of right (9375) out drives for the B2 / B3. Does that sound good?

isobarik 29-10-2010 01:24 PM

Welsh i can get the protoform Bomber and the Deja vu for the B2/3

the dejavu looks really good.

mvh Isobarik

Welsh what spares would you likte to have for driving the petit in an mankini ha ha ha

adam lancia 30-10-2010 12:39 PM

Stock B2 outdrives are steel, as are the lightened outdrives except that the lightened outdrives were a bit on the fragile side.

Welshy40 30-10-2010 03:47 PM

Ok tt now makes sense. But these parts dont work with associated even though it resembles a b3. Iso - The other items i am confused. What are you on about.

Abot the TT stuff iŽll guess the fit since they use the imperial suff still iin bearings and the same clutch as in my RC10 and T and that means the the slipper disc will fit kyosho lazer:D

Let me know more partnumbers of what you want for the B2/3 so i can check, I have a source but only numbers will do.

Thought about it but they are going for a lot less elsewhere. Im up for swopping iso my wheel hubs for 2 left and 2 right outdrives mainly due to this 2wd being my favorite and am going to keep running it.

Im so asleep, ok im guessing that these are thunder tiger or Protoform but have had no luck in finding them. However I have managed to get my hands on several sets of wheels, bodyshells, wishbones, rear shock towers, a couple of gearboxes, 3 and 1.5 degree wishbone mounts, rear hubs, pivot pins, steering, front block, alloy chassis plates front and rear, A braces and diff gears and now all I really need are the out drives - part numbers AS9375 and AS9370.

Let me know if your still up for the swop mate.

Im a bit gutted that I am unbale to run my ZXS at the Petit though as the front gear box parts havent been made yet for me to run it so will have to use my 511 instead. Im a bit gutted but what the hell its just fun. Also diffs for the ZXR, does anyone else use another type of diff or are they all standard? Im not so happy with the design of the ZXR ball diff and used another in the 90's, quite possibly from the Pure 10 but am not sure.

kek23k 04-11-2010 07:07 PM

I remember switching to those white pulleys back in the day because they had more balls and were a heck of a lot smoother. I'm thinking MMS but they might have been Wasp or RW. I thought the old-school kyosho diffs were a bit gritty but black grease helped a lot.

Welshy40 04-11-2010 09:16 PM

I have a knack for breaking the unbreakable and the only diffs that worked well were kyosho. But cant remember what model they were from and need to investigate further. The diff design had faults on the zxr but the zxs proto diffs ive got are as smooth as the rc10 b2 that i use and unhappy that these diffs didnt get made. As my protos are worn out im now in need of diffs that dont slip but are smooth. Tough challenge eh?

adam lancia 05-11-2010 02:19 PM

Thoare are Pure Ten diffs you're thinking of. They are similar in construction to the Stealth diffs with a proper coil spring and separate nut on the opposite side of the thrust bearing assembly. The thrust balls are still a little too small which makes the diff's grittier than they should/could be but they are leaps and bounds better than the original Lazer/Optima/Ultima ball diffs.

isobarik 05-11-2010 04:14 PM

The pureten type is soo much better as adam says.
I bought the last white diff pulleys from RW and i can say that they are very nice..super nice infact and use more balls then standard and of cource machined he could make some more but then minimum order was 20 or something like that. I also have some white diffs from integy if i remember correctly they are super smooth and non slipping but have delrin outdrives that make them weaker then steel dito still having more balls makes smoother.

mvh Isobarik

Welsh still up for the trade just have to find them first waiting for reply from the supplier.

Iso, mate there yours so no rush.

Outdrives I had in the early 90's must be those from the Pure ten so thats what I will have to get to replace my protos, then when I have cash I will get them made from scratch as they are as smooth as a B2 diff. I will update when I have found and built.
