** Party in the Golf Park 2012 **

It’s happening again and this year it doesn’t clash with a national/regional or any other race series! :)

We will be having a fun race weekend up in Tally on the weekend of 11/12 august 2012, the event will be open to all electric classes so that’s 10th 2/4wd/truck and 16th Micro.

We are not going to run Nitro this year again. Sorry about that.

This is the second time we will have run this event and as such it will be bigger and better than last time out (mainly because we have use of the club house this time!).

Here is a time table of how things will be run in a round by round format. There will be lots of things thrown in but we will stick as closely to the times as we can. If we are running ahead of ourselves time wise then we will try and squeeze in a few more rounds but will take decision on the day.

Saturday

10-11 - free practise/track prep etc
11:00 - Drivers briefing to explain the rules (there are no rules really)
11:30 - Round 1
12:45 - Round 2
14:30 - Round 3
16:45 – Round 4
18:00 –The “Reg’s beer race challenge” and other fun stuff with prizes*.
19:00 - Track open for free practise and buffet open in club house along with a disco with lots of beer and fun (non-racers will need to chip in for buffet).
21:30 – After we’ve all eaten and are semi beered up its time for the Night Race, then back to club house till we can't take anymore.

Sunday

09:00 - Free Practise & breakfast in café (breakfast is not covered in your race entry).
10:30 - Round 5
11:30 - Round 6
12:30 – Round 7
13:30 – Round 8
14:30 - Finals start.
16:30 - Trophy/Prize giving etc.

This event is not a BRCA/WRCA event so there will be no scrutineering or refereeing, however if someone is being a blatant ar$e we will step in and have a word. It’s a fun event so I very much doubt we will need to do anything like that.

So what do you get for entry fee, let me tell you…

Weekend Entry – £18.50
1 Persons entry to the weekend unlimited classes plus camping.
Buffet in the café on Saturday evening
Chance to win some prizes
Trophy or a memento of the weekend other than a hangover.

Sunday Entry - £10
1 Persons entry with unlimited classes
Chance to win some prizes
Trophy or a memento of the day

If you are under 16 years old then you can enter for free as long as you are accompanied by a “responsible” adult.

If you are a non-racer but want to come up for the weekend and support your mates and have a few beers then that is fine by us all we ask is a donation for the buffet on Saturday night.

Entries will close on the 8th June as we will need time to get all the prizes and food sorted out before the weekend so entries after that date may not get a trophy etc.

Entries to partyinthegolfpark@gmail.com it would be great if you could pay as well as it will help smooth the booking in on the day so if you can pay now let us know when you book in.

This event has been organised by Steve Axon and I and has not been put on by a club, the cost of entry goes towards the hire of the track/clubhouse, food and the trophy/prizes. Its purely for the love of toy cars, racing and a few beers with our mates.

Hope you can all make it!

Chaps

Can you let me know if you are planning on coming so that I can arrange the trophy/prizes.

I'd hate for people to have to go with out on the day.

Let me know as soon as.

thanks

Mike
