This is fantastic.
Question, is the steering cross member or brace(carbon) attached to the two aluminium braces with epoxy or some other glue? |
Looks great! Nice work.
I think the first durangos used losi shocks, b4 rear arms and bj4 front arms. Anybody got response when you asked if he sells this conversion? |
I spoke with the author last more than a year ago. I want one of the kits, but have not heard anything for just over a year.
The earlier alloy chassis Durangos mostly used Schumacher cat 3000 suspension components, and later cars used Tamiya trf 501/502 components. In fact the geometry of the production dex410 is almost identical to the Tamiya items. I have tried Tamiya trf502 suspension on my v3/4 and it works well, although it is delicate compared to the bombproof Durango parts. |
Awesome work pal

Now I'm working on the body, so I did a positive plaster mold, a negative silicon mold and a positive resin mold (special resin for vacuum forming).
If you know which filler I can use to do some little repair, your ideas are welcome. The problem is the temperature of the polycarbonate. Maybe "tamiya putty" or 1:1 car filler??? https://image.noelshack.com/fichiers...6-img-1318.jpg https://image.noelshack.com/fichiers...6-img-1321.jpg https://image.noelshack.com/fichiers...6-img-1320.jpg |
Any new or more info available

The result is not so bad, but I have to place the mold on a wood plate to have better corners! https://image.noelshack.com/fichiers...1-img-1336.jpg https://image.noelshack.com/fichiers...0-img-1333.jpg https://image.noelshack.com/fichiers...1-img-1335.jpg |
