Yoke Identity

So what I think I have here is a yoke 870C and a '91 works, I do have the chassis for both (which would probably make identification easier) but not with me at the moment.

I have smalls for both and magnesium motor mounts and rear bulk heads, one pictured is an alloy one.

Are the front bulkheads readily available? would prefer alloy ones TBH.

left pic is an 870C and right pic is indeed a Works '91.

Bulkheads are hard to find. Try eBay or Vintage Kokomo forum on FB.

Good luck.

Like NJ has said 870c on the left and works parts on the right. The works parts are 91 front tower with 92 rear tower and hubs if the car came like hay I’m guessing it’ll be a 92 with just the 91 towers, what pitch were the belts the fine pitch M2 or be more corse like modern cars M3?

Both cars were in a carrier bag in my dads garage, we got them ages ago. After seeing a lot of your yoke builds I've decided to rebuild both, always wanted a '91/2. Haven't got any belts or pulleys so going to use my yr4 to get me up and running.

The yr4 diffs and motormount will work and the front C hubs and knuckles will work too but the front belt will be different to the yr4 not sure if the rears the same

Thought the hubs and carriers all looked familiar when I was cleaning them up, have enough diff parts and spares for both cars.

Are the wishbones era correct for the '91 or '92?

Peakey 02-03-2018 03:35 PM

Yes the works cars shared the same arms from the 91-93 just the 93 ones had the mounts for the anti roll bar

So picked up the chassis today and found the missing wishbone and rear upright from the first picture, looks as though the 870C went on a diet at some point.

Looks as though I'm gona need a couple of front bulkheads.
