Heyup Graham.

Same as me then for next year, X6 & X10. I only ran my X6 once at the end of last years outdoors, but it was brilliant around Batley, so i'm looking forward to running it in 2007.

Are you putting a brushless in the X6 ?

Anyhting new on the X10, front, or is the car the same as last year ?

Northy 27-12-2006 01:09 PM

Hi Andy,

I should have brushless in the X-6 before the first regional/national, not sure which one yet though.

Nothing new as yet on the X-10 front, but you never know whats round the corner

Northy, why the BK2 rear stub axles ?

Northy 27-12-2006 03:54 PM

To get the pin of the drive shaft further into the outdrive when on full droop.

Brushless

Heyup graham.

Make sure you post some pictures if you 'squeeze' a brushless in, would be interested to see what fits.

Andy.

Good skills Shilly,

I believe both the Novak and LRP system will fit, The LRP one with just the heatsink no probs, the novak with the fan requires more effort but it defo will fit.

Of course there will be the smaller Tekin unit, when it comes out :)

How come you're not doing any indoors?

I'll soon have a Novak Brushless, so I will post pictures once fitted.

I know Liam has the Novak in his X-6, his photos are in here somewhere.

Hi I just finished my X6, pics later today I hope, I e-mailed chazz on how I fit my GTB, I think he liked it since he put it on his site.

Also made some room for lexan shields for the underside of the tranmission. Since I do NOT want to see tranny internals, like a diff gear, on a finished car. Other than that, everything went well together.

Heyup Dan.

No indoors for me this year, just being too busy with work. I don't like turning stuff down !

Hopefully will do the SuperCup. Can't wait for the outdoors again though.

Might squeeze in a brushless for the SuperCup. Will the tekin unit work with the current range of LRP / Nosram / Novak motors ? If so I might wait as i've got a spare Novak Brushless motor.

Andy.

OK, here's an update. Progress is a little slow for a few reasons.

Nice Pics are you on X-6 Payroll :)

Keep them coming i wish i had done the same with my X-5 build shame i am 2/3rds of the way in now :)

LiamD 28-12-2006 05:58 PM

Looks really good, mine never looked that neat and tidy when being built though.

There's a few X-6s cropping up a Teesside now. One turned up last night for practice, and comparing to the last weekends racing, he was only 7 tenths a lap quicker than the other 2wds... :D

We have got them working well at Teesside! Although seeing how they go against some better quality drivers will be the big test!

Northy 28-12-2006 06:30 PM

I'll have to have a ride up with mine. Just sorting some more pictures.

I took some more pictures of the other progress, but they came out gash, I'll have to do them again. :(

Losi, nice.

I think I prefer the 'cold' looking pics with the custom WB setting. Sorry, yes I know in contrary.

Why don't you see how many more times you can write 78 on the spur, you only have 4 currently, it could be some sort of competition.

Northy 28-12-2006 11:04 PM

Some more progress today after getting hinge pins and turnbuckles from Vermin...

:D :D :D

I think at Teeside when I was there before I was running orange pistons all round, 40wt AE oil, think Chris had 37.5wt Losi oil. I can't say whether a car will or won't go better on Losi or AE shocks but I much prefer Losi shocks, so much easier and consistant to build. Also all the other X Factory drivers are running them so it's easier for us to compare.

Should be easy to guess an approximate/equivilent for AE shocks. I know I'm running heavier oil and spring on the rear than I did on the B4.

Dan
