suparajicon 31-12-2012 01:05 PM

Thatīs a nice track, and not the crap we have here in Spain..

Pulse 31-12-2012 06:34 PM

UmeaRC is a track in Sweden that carries S.A.R products, it has the shop inside the facility. Here is the site (in swedish) so if you need to know anything more google translate will be your best friend :) : www.umearc.se

I just edited my first post about the specs. Basically it's an upgraded 1/14 scale. You can buy it without the radio/ charger/ battery and the price is lower than a its opponents.

In the US it's branded Tacon and sold by but it's the exact same car:

Nice! Are we talking about days/ weeks/ months?

It will be a very serious competitor for carisma and losi, the price is lower too and electronics are good. HW ESC, better servo, motor with more torque in low rpm. It's like an upgraded mini eight with protection for the gears, aluminum shock caps etc..

jaysllim 31-12-2012 11:19 PM

Uk manufacturer or distributor?

DrPaul 31-12-2012 11:37 PM

They are both, the word will be out shortly :)

DCM 31-12-2012 11:39 PM

Schumacher. I believe Jay.

jaysllim 31-12-2012 11:41 PM

Horrizon hobbies?but y would they rip there own car off or would this become an upgrade for the losi? Dunno confuzing myself, will wait and see then lol

racingben 31-12-2012 11:57 PM

One of the guys on uk micro rc had it confirmed as Schumacher by the manufacturer.

Not sure on the motor comments - its a 4500 kv just like the carisma / losi one, just red.

jaysllim 01-01-2013 12:12 AM

Ha ha so schumacher ripped off the losi lol, it really reminds ov a 1/8th with theservowear it is an tha, well i geuss ull be buying one then stevey boy lol

Motor or Engine: 4500Kv 2838 brushless motor

The spec shows it as a big can motor Ben, like the Turnigy gold can

Didn't spot that. Could be good then :-)

danmurphy 01-01-2013 09:42 AM

4500Kv in a 28mm size should be on par with the 24mm lorisma(!) 5700Kv

Liking the adjustable tension on the servo saver :D

racingben 01-01-2013 09:47 AM

The hinge pin holders look naff though

Looks great. Any ideas on pricing/release date??

Pulse 01-01-2013 02:45 PM

The kit is already available, I posted a link in the 1st post ;)

230€ complete

190€ without radio/ receiver/ batts/charger

This is in Sweden but it could be even lower around here. In the USA it's 169$ only, Nitrorcx is carrying the buggy:

Plenty of infos on UltimateRC too:

Horizon hobby will sell them.

They are making a SCT and a rallye car too, based on the same platform:

A small sizecomparison:

battery tray, gens ace 1800mah is a very tight fit, plenty of room for the 1550mah:

As a notice the motor response is much smoother than on a mini 8ight, the ESC made by hobbywing is programmable too

RobChalmers 23-01-2013 01:14 PM

Total rumour mill job but from what I've heard......

Announcement - in days
Release - in a few weeks
Atleast one car at the nationals by the end of the season.

I'm intrigued by it, there are some obvious advantages over the Losi (motor, esc, hingepins, servosaver etc) but whether or not its enough is up for debate - though I'm sure it'll have atleast one good peddler ;)

toddzellia 23-01-2013 02:17 PM

Basically the same layout as the Losi M8
Just courious how it will perform .?

c0sie 23-01-2013 11:54 PM

That wing and shell is the spitting image of the Phatbodies stuff in the flesh

rcdunk 01-02-2013 09:35 AM

photos of it on the schumacher stand at the toy fair

plus i belive there will be one racing at the micro nationals on sunday but that may only be a rumour

afun1979 01-02-2013 10:24 AM

One of these appeared at our club on wednesday and it went VERY well - and it did have some good competition.

Jonesy 03-02-2013 11:10 PM

The car was ranat the BRCA Micro Nationals today by myself. I managed to qualify and finish 3rd behind Craig Harris and Phil Sleigh although those of you who were there will hopefully confirm that the car was clearly on the same pace as the 2 Carisma belt drive cars

Keep an eye out for an announcement from Schumacher shortly regarding the car
