Which 13.5t brushless motor for 1/10 touring car

What 13.5t brushless motors you guys using?
And are their any good budget ones as well?

MrTross 23-01-2012 11:05 AM

Their must be a few people On hear running 13.5 motors in heir cars??

I run 13.5 brushless. I have a Speed Passion V3 which is a relatively unfashionable motor in touring but has been good enough for me to TQ plenty of club meetings over the past couple of years, and I've done OK at the CWIC and the BTCC.

One of the most popular ones locally seems to be LRP/Nosram X12. Also the HPI Flux Pro. and Hobbywing.

team powers or thunder power

I think virtually any of the current motors can be quick enough if setup well with a decent ESC. Having said that I'm happy with my X12 / Hobbywing combination so +1 for the X12.

Iv got a hobbywings xtreme stock esc so looking to find a motor to go with that! I'm quite new to the brushless as just getting back into racing

I was also racing at the CWIC events and for 1 round done 13.5 and matched qualified 5th using hobbywing and lrp x12. they a very fast combo but as im used to 10.5 i dont think i was gettin the most out of the package. Also the flux motors are flying and the Reedy motor seems to be a well matched motor for the hobbywing speedo any one of these motors will be perfect but id personally go with lrp or reedy as they seem slightly more reliable.

which ever motor you get don't for get to factor in the built in timing of that particular motor when setting your esc up.

Is that quite easy to do?

Any one use tekin or gm?

I used to run Nosram/LRP in touring cars, and they were great.

If you're on a budget, go for the HPI flux motors - brilliant value for money.
