When I looked about an hour ago Alan from South West RC had one built up in the shop .. looked like it had been run a few times .. might be worth having a word with him at the Oople meeting at Mendip this weekend if you're going

Hi neale,

I have been running my Team Durango DEX210v2 for about 2 months now.

I have run it on Astro, Grass and carpet.

Compared to the original car it has been massively improved with its on the track performance.

The main areas for me that seem to stick out the most is it's cornering ability and general traction and steering improvements.

Also in the 2 months I have been running it I have had no breakages either.

If you have any specific questions please feel free to ask.

Thanks

Ran mine for the first time at the weekend at Tiverton. I was very pleased with the performance and even in the wet the grip was quite high. With regards to Astro it felt planted on the sweeping corner at the end of the straight and at no point did I feel it was going to do anything unexpected.

I will be running it at the Oople meeting this Sunday so pop over and have a look.

What battery configuration are most people running in the v2?

I have been running shorty packs in mine.

I have made up some foam spacers and depending on the grip level and type track I am running on I will move the pack forwards or backwards slightly.

I'm running a V1 upgraded to V2 spec. I've found the V2 front arms aren't as strong as the V1's which should be no surprise as they are stiffer.

Ran mine for the 1st time on sat, was indoors and it was so easy to drive, but quick. Going to be trying it at dynamix (super high grip and bumpy) this weekend.

All the little changes to the car from v1 - v2 make a big difference

Hey Martin, Have you built it as book setup sheet for mm4 astro? or?

OneKiwi 14-05-2014 05:22 AM

What bits are needed to upgrade to v2?

Chassis... got the +11
side pods... +11
gearbox... is it lower as well or does it have the extra camber link
LRC... is it just the rear or FR and RR
Rear shock shafts.. understandable as they are shorter right?
pistons... why? or blank ones would do
caster blocks... whats changed there?
ball cups..... didn't really have a problem with the old ones once they were boiled
long diff outdrives... isn't that a upgrade/option from the v1 anyway?
steering link... is the geo different or would the CF or AM one do the same thing?

Shorter front shock body's as well .

Nearly cheaper getting the whole kit

Not to mention almost impossible at this point as a lot of the V2 Spares are not available yet from what I can see :(

Only thing i can see me needing is the LRC kit, and maybe the front arms. Everything else i've already got, or got an alternative!

Neil, ive pretty much put the setup i use on the v1 on to the v2, i didnt look at the setups provided tbh.
