Cougar SV strip and rebuild

with the purchase of the SV i went to race it at keighley regional with little success, i now want to strip and rebuild it (for my own knowledge of what's in it) from what i know its the standard length chassis it is running big bore shocks, i was wondering if i can get advice on what shock oil and weight, springs rates, shock piston types, rebuild of transmission, etc, to race on grass and astro turf, all help is great cheers

If you go on the Schumacher website they have setups from their team drivers. Just find one for a grass track and then use it as a reference for the shocks mainly.

is it worth investing in the weights you can buy etc or just get car tyre weights and add them in? if so how much and where?

Just add the weight if and where you need it. You may like it without any extra weight. Apparently the Trishbits weights are all that are really needed.
