Vega 4 Pictures and info

Thought I'd post up the pics from Team No Ideas race report of the Proto Vega 4wd and also the new medium bore shocks too. Enjoy!

that is STUNNING!!

Its like the best bits of all my fav cars in one!!

Any ideas when this will be available! and the magic question of how much!!

Ron Burgundy 28-03-2013 01:55 PM

Never; and too much.......

;)

Ktm250 28-03-2013 02:19 PM

Ron you are a complete Bell End!

Why do you always stir crap up on any Xtreme/vega product?

Anyway aside from Rons pointless post, I think it looks stunning, some great ideas on the car and the cnc work is stunning and this is a proto, can't wait to see the finished article

Look forward to more progress/release info soon!

My first concern would be it's immense stiffness, but I guess they've got good reasons to do it! :) Perhaps flex in a car makes the bite oscillate - so less flex could mean more consistent bite (which on carpet and high bite astro tracks is more important than the amount of bite)? Just thinking of theories here though, I'm no scientist and my racing experience goes back... 1 season!

I love the looks of the car - not just the elaborate CNC work, it's construction deserves appreciation :) And it's keeping the glory of belt drive very much alive

Yes its a work of art I reckon :wub

I was chatting to Will who works for Xtreme and they had to make the spine in a different design as it had too much flex in the rear of the car so I'm sure chassis stiffness has been well tested on the proto cars.

I'v seen it to on carpet in the hands of Will,Lewis,Ed at Martime Raceway and it went really really well.

We have been lucky in the South of England to see the car in action at the various big winter meetings, I'm sure if you search through some of the Maritime videos on youtube you will see Ed driving it in the A final 4wd races.

I love it, but doubt I can afford it on release...

I think chassis flex is to make up for poor shock settings myself :p

The shocks should do the work!

Read a previous post on the car and you will see I said it looks awesome, its a magnificent piece of engineering... they should be very proud of the design and sheer engineering expertise involved in producing a chassis like this...

Good call though champ...

Saw it down at Worksop at the weekend. Certainly went okay. Not sure it would be for me tho. Bit too bling!

Bump! Was talking about this car when I was club racing this week

Such a cool looking car, shame it never made it into production

Vega 4

Who owns one of these cars. Anybody ? I need one in my life

MHeadling 03-03-2017 11:02 AM

As far as I know there were only 2 x ever made, Will Johnson who used to work at Xtreme has one in bits, Ed kerry used to run one during its proto stages but think this went back to Xtreme hq

Shame it never made production, some good ideas on the car

Dyna 03-03-2017 12:10 PM

Yup some damn fine machining work on that buggy.

Totally agree, huge shame it never made it to production. I'd have a TRF one now if one was available.

GRIFF55 03-03-2017 12:48 PM

Imagine it in trf blue!!!
