rearranged kiddy regional

so looking at the calender there seems to only 4 possible date's to reschedule the meeting

saturday 16th june (2wd reg at kiddy on the sunday, also bank holiday)

sunday 3rd june

sunday 1st july

sunday 22nd july

my personel preference would be the 16th june, im already racing on the sunday and any other date would loose me another weekend and with only a few weekends off during the season i don't really want to loose one of the few i have. plus it might help the club out with only having to set-up the site once.
i know its going to be difficult to accomodate everyone. the chance's are a few people arnt going to be able to make which ever date is chosen, also we have to bear in mind which date's the club official's are available for!

first choice should read 16th june not 26th may, cheers dave

please only people racing the event to vote, please post why you've voted for the date you have!

Bathy 28-05-2007 08:27 AM

You do know its the 28th of May today yeah?

tyreman 28-05-2007 08:48 AM

I voted to run on th 16th & 17th of June, as it would be good to see if running both classes on one weekend would work in our region.

_JP_ 28-05-2007 09:02 AM

I can do any date, as Bri says a weekend meet would be good, but what about the people who travel along way will they be able to camp, would they want to camp

just a thought.

ashleyb4 28-05-2007 09:10 AM

Yea im with you brian i like the idea of a two day meeting, and the weekend of kiddy 2wd regional is perfect it gives people pleanty of time to get sorted and i also think its a possability for next year to, to introduce 2 day regionals. And it also bring's some fun back into racing as people will stay over night so people will socialise instead of leaving the second they finish there final. But the problem may come where some track wont have anywhere for people to stay for example Oswestry is fine and kiddy is fine but it may be a problem at a diffrent track.

losixxx 28-05-2007 09:10 AM

we've camped there before on a saturday night before a regional so can't see that being a problem.

andy reeves 28-05-2007 09:53 AM

I've voted for the saturday before the 2wd regional. I am not able to do the 2wd regional but i am advailable to race on the saturday. This has got to be easier for the club imo as it does mean they have only got to get the track ready now for one weekend. This is a difficult situation for some people but i don't think that we wil now be able to get a solution that will suit everyone.

I haven't voted as it doesn't matter to me when it is, although I would prefer that it is on a Sunday.

22nd July clashes with the Euro's, so I doubt that date will be considered.

How about the 9th of September?

_sleigh_ 28-05-2007 10:33 AM

I am currently in negociations regarding the re-scheduled date, and will post details ASAP.

It would still be very good if Mid-West drivers could give their views on the above dates.

As Domonic says, the July 22nd date is ruled out because of the Euro's in Finland.

GRIFF55 28-05-2007 10:43 AM

I would be able to race on any sunday, but the sat is a no go, as i run a holiday park and sat is changeover day!!!! Still a struggle for sundays, even the ones where you waste a day traveling for it to be called off!!!
SUDAYS all the way;)

jasonrcb 28-05-2007 10:47 AM

saturdays are near impossible for me purely on business and financial reasons, so if its saturday that we race then it will have to be a no choice round that i will have to drop

GRIFF55 28-05-2007 10:47 AM

CAN'T IT BE ARRANGED FOR THE END OF THE SEASON, AS IT IS AN ALLWEATHER TRACK!!!!!!
No other bank hols now until the end of august(otherwise my business is down the pan on bookings!)

Jonny_H 28-05-2007 11:09 AM

16th of June then, as the 22nd's out, and I can't do either of the others!

ashleyb4 28-05-2007 12:40 PM

Its not an all weather track because if it was we wouldnt be in this situation cus the meeting would have been run.

I have voted for the 16th June. Would be ace to have a Mid-West weekend regional event.
Doubt it will happen as quite a few racers work on Sats and find it hard to get time off.

Its an all weather track in the sense that it can be run when it is raining as the track does not cut up and is safe to walk on and race on, unlike the standard grass track. the situation is mainly due to the standing water on the track.

the weekend race meeting would be great, but i already have commitments that weekend, cant even race the sunday :(

DaveG28 28-05-2007 02:18 PM

oops, vote again?

Hi,

Have voted for the saturday before the 2wd,but to be honest could make the 1st of July just as easily, maybe it would be best to make it the sunday so more people can make it?

As much as it might be an advantage for me, I don't want to end up higher overall just from getting a good scoring round because less people are there!

matdodd 28-05-2007 03:28 PM

I think it needs to be a sunday, whatever date that is  as 2 full weekends in a row is a bit much for most people who are at Bury for the national!
