Okay...lets start with my converted ZX5-FS. I actually called it FS2 long before the ZX5-FS2 came along.
The car is a combination of ZX5-FS and RB5-SP Car was superquick indoor on carpet and I qualified 2 behind Ketil Pettersen at its racedebut. Here`s a link to KG`s site with some more information: http://rc.myocard.net/?p=323 Here are some pictures |

Next up is what I called 201X...Ironic that 3months later Tamiya comes out with the 201X.
The car is a combination between 501X and RB5 I ended up using this one at the Nordic championship 2010 |

This is the latest version of my homemade 201X...
The main goal with all these home made cars is its fun to build and compete with something you made by yourself. Also to test some theories regarding weight distrubution, mass rotating around its center of gravety/weight center, acceleration of rear end sideways (mass x force)and so on... |

Here`s a modification I did on my B44 before attending Nm2010 at geiteryggen.
I knew that track conditions would be rather "low grip", so to get more grip i wanted to get more flex in the chassie. I did a modification on the front and rear top deck`s, as you can see on the pictures. Driving the car with modified front and rear top deck`s helped traction quite alot ,but made the car a little unpretictable. I ended up with a standard rear top deck and a modified front top deck. Car was good, but i think that just removing the crossmembers of the top deck in the rear would be enough to help get mor traction....so anoyone thinking of doing the same, just remove the cross-member at the rear top deck, and try it at low grip tracks |
I tried that during the nats in Skien last year. The car was good to drive, but it was that before I removed the rear cross-member as well :P

Yeah, it's mainly the shocks & shell that's changed from the B44 to B44.1 right?
Anyone considering that Vega kit? Looks like business... |

Right! Looks like very reasonable changes!
Going off-topic or hijacking is just fun! :D |
Well, the idea isn't mine, but my XXX-4 steering system was homebrewed with a dremel and some CF:)

I'm practicing a lot these days, with the plans of being about ten times better in offroad than I ever was in touring, so the XXX-4 will just have to get better sooner or later. Shall be said that my 2wd is now fantastic on carpet. All I've done since the start of the season is practicing more in the last weeks than all of last year:P Wheeltime is what resolves nearly all setup issues:lol: |
