Cells

RIght

Got everything else sorted for my XRS now...

XRS, Futaba 9451, Reedy KR 12x1, Novak GT7....

Only thing ive not got is cells....

What should i be looking at getting 3300's, 3700's or 4200's etc?????

Complete newcomer to Offroad ( apart from one regional with a B3 about 5 years ago )..

Need to get started with good enough stuff but on a budget..

Cheers in advance

lol ! advice guys advice!

The 4200's ive used were too fast for me, thats my opinion anyway and I'm sticking to it! :p Depends what your budget is, but I'd not really go lower than 3700's, which would be fine. I dont have that much experience with cells in all honesty, but I think the higher capaticy you go the less robust they are generally, so need more care and love. That just from what I know which aint much ;)

LRP VTEC4200's

people have seen my rig, and some people have also used my batteries, they will know how quick they are!

losixxx 13-09-2006 11:21 AM

sorry james lol

the 4200's ive used a sooo quick as jimmy said probably to powerfull for my driving standards but hey i will still be using them:D the ib3800s are very good but the 4200's rock

jimmy 13-09-2006 11:23 AM

yeah when I said too quick for me, I meant that if I could have kept them, I would and bugger the consequences. They were fun.

IB42's are ACE, but are a little more fragile than, say, a 3700 cell, as there is just MORE packed in to that little space.

sounds like 3700's might be the way to go then, maybe a little less tempremental. That and the fact that im aiming at keeping it on the green as opposed to fast spectacular crashes ( had enough of those whilst racing snoring )

im looking at 3700's for 2wd and 4300 for 4wd.
