Lipo saddle packs
Can anyone recommend any 2S lipo saddle packs?
They are going to be ran in my Cat2000EC on a 10.5t brushless motor and need to be able to last a 5 minute race and not cost a fortune. Any recommendations of brands, shops, etc would be great |
Not many manufacturers left making saddles...it’s all shorties these days...usual suspects like hobby king do the nanotech turnigy ones...core still make them...keep an eye out on eBay for 2nd hand sets...I picked up some Nosram lcg ones that were hardly used for £25.

I have a few sets of core and nanotech saddle packs and I’m sure that top level drivers could tell the difference, but I can’t detect any difference between them
Also, most lipos will easily do 5 mins and I can get 20mins+ (never run to exhaustion, but have done 3-4 rounds on a single set). So my advice is unless you are planning to win the nationals or worlds, go for whatever |
Cheers
Think Core have stopped making Saddles can't seem to find them, but I can get Turnigy ones from Hobby King :) I am only using them for a bit of Vintage club racing |
Keep an eye on the Turnigy ones on HK, they have daft sales now and again. My lad's old car took saddles and we got 2 brand new sets for £15 each from there. I see they are over £30-40 now though.

We still have a fair selection of new packs still available with large discounts off on them from the likes of Corally, Core RC, LRP, Reedy and Vampire...
