Apex models

Any of you do business with Apex Models? I can't get hold of them at all, they are not answering the phone or email, still waiting for an order from 1st Jan. Would they still be shut from Christmas?

K-Brewer 10-01-2018 10:41 AM

If i remember correcrly they show shadow stock on most items so they're probably waiting for it to come in from supplier first. Theres been a few threads on here about them

Chillout47 10-01-2018 11:21 AM

I did check when I ordered the parts that they were in stock and not shadow. It was for older Losi parts so they probably don't have them. That's by the by though - just can't get hold of them, no response at all via phone or email.

K-Brewer 10-01-2018 11:42 AM

Even though it shows as in stock, its more than likely shadow stock. Theres been a few threads about this

racingdwarf 10-01-2018 11:44 AM

regardless of stock level you would have thought they would be answearing phones or email by now....even building sites are back from christmas break!

I ordered some Kyosho gold shock seals off there eBay store before Christmas and after 2 weeks of no contact or parts I messaged them to see where they were and they just refunded me without even an email apologising. I’ll never again use them

They never carry any items in stock. Read any of the apex model ebay listings.

Basically they don't actually have anything, once you order it they will order it with their suppliers, so you can forget about seeing your item in any less than 10 days at best. Used them once and it was a shit show. To top it off horizon never let suppliers know what part of the supplier order are sending out, when its being sent or if they can even provide it. So forget about ordering losi parts, you'd have better chance of finding what you need blowing down the street.

Used to be one of top shops until
joined with jemodels.com used apex for years no problems

steve-thebabystore 10-01-2018 09:42 PM

Jemodels site isn’t behaving normally?

Sorry, worked on pc but not phone

Chillout47 10-01-2018 10:23 PM

Tried ringing them again today three times, they never answered. Email sent, still nothing. Guess I won't be using them again then.

Apex

I ordered something a couple of years ago from them and waited more than two weeks for it to turn up. When you buy something it’s because you need it and in this day and age you expect it within 2-3 days. I for one will never ever order from them again

Cheaper prices = bad CS

Chillout47 14-02-2018 12:49 PM

I have had absolutely no communication from them at all. Nothing. I had to raise a complaint with Paypal and I got refunded today after the initial order was placed 1st Jan. I'll never use Apex or JE ever again, and I'd caution others to steer clear too. Can't see how that business model is sustainable.

PaulRotheram 14-02-2018 12:56 PM

Heard this numerous times on the forum - id never use them. Such a shame as JE when it was in its original form was brilliant. Since apex took over they have been appauling.

racingdwarf 14-02-2018 01:06 PM

I agree JE was great, Apex seems to stock nothing and try to order it from supplier in hope they have it and get it to you in 10 days

Davescouse 14-02-2018 01:21 PM

Apex models are really bad for replying I bout an Alan driver and it's took 2 weeks for them to send it out and I left them nearly 7 or 8 messages and threatened them and even then after 2 days they got back to and only say...sorry

Danosborne6661 14-02-2018 02:30 PM

I also avoid Apex at all costs because they seem to never hold stock but don't actually tell you!

adey 14-02-2018 02:42 PM

I really hope somebody from apex models reads this and posts a comment. I personally only buy from mb models, inside line models, occasionally dms racing and penn models. Never had an issue with any of them.

xfactor 14-02-2018 06:18 PM

I cant believe a model shop back in the day with such respect, support and one of the best, if not the best model shops would go so bad.

I remember the support and shop at track side under a big red tent in the early 90s and the drivers to back it.

Its a real shame for the sport that APEX have gone this way. I also have had issues in the past.

I agree with Adey. I hope someone from APEX reads this and reflects back to the days of awesomeness by these guys.......

Are JE still paying supporters of this forum? With them having a bad reputation is it really worth having their banner at the top of the page?

On a side note, I also think this forum needs a bigger social media presence, especially the oople race series
