BRCA SE 1:10 Off-Road Regional Calendar 2012

Here we go again! :woot:

Following discussions between ALL participating clubs, myself and subsequent feedback from FORCC (Faversham Off-Road Car Club, http://www.forcc.co.uk/), Plough Raceway, EPR (Eden Park Raceway, http://www.edenparkraceway.com/) and Maritime Racing (http://www.maritimeracing.info/) please see finalised BRCA SE 1:10 Off-Road Regional calendar for 2012.

All dates are Sunday's this year!

2WD
06 May 2012 EPR
17 June 2012 FORCC
22 July 2012 Plough Raceway
19 August 2012 EPR

4WD
22 April 2012 EPR
20 May 2012 Plough Raceway
24 June 2012 FORCC
12 August 2012 Plough Raceway

As you can see, right now, there are no dates for the new off-road facilities at Maritime Raceway, this is in agreement with that club. With their new, permanent facilities yet to be completed they want the opportunity to do that, open the venue (possibly with another GP style meeting, watch this space!), develop the off-road part of their club and get it established before joining in with the Regional series. All that being said both Plough Raceway and EPR have been approached about potentially transferring either or both of the last two events of the year (12 & 19 August) to Maritime Raceway should the venue be ready to take on such an event (and knowing the organisers at Maritime we have no doubt about their abilities!). Obviously the weather may also have an impact on any decisions that will be made as the year progresses. Watch out for any more announcements about possible changes of location, we will endeavour to keep the dates the same, weather permitting!

Here's looking forward to another exciting new season with an increasing number of competitors of all ages and abilities, as always everybody's welcome!
Watch out for more specific details about these events soon!

Also please keep a look-out for the newly re-developed BRCA 1:10 Off-Road South East Region web site that is currently being finalised for release soon!

Also keep checking the popular forums for some exciting events outside of the Regional series in the South East. Not least of which is the third round of the BRCA 1:10 National Series due to be held at Eden Park Raceway on the weekend of 02/03 June 2012. South East drivers are encouraged to go and have a look at most of the country’s best 1:10 electric off-road drivers, you could even think about entering yourself (there maybe places available though they may be few and far between!) or you could at least offer to help out at the host club, there will be lots of opportunities to get involved, just get in touch with the club if you are not a member but are interested in helping out!

FORCC will be participating in some local community events, as they have done so successfully in recent years, the details of which they have promised to let me know so that others can possibly get involved. Unfortunately this year there are no plans for the Help for Heroes charity event that we have been to in recent years, a great shame as it was such a success, both as an event and for the club itself!

EPR are finalising a round of the HPI / Apex Models Southern Short Course Series 2012 on Sunday 15 July 2012, initial details will be available here on Oople in the Truck section, no doubt more details will follow as the series gets nearer.

Other events are also being planned by both Plough Raceway and at the new 1:10 off-road facilities soon to be completed by Maritime Racing both of which will, no doubt, be announced on here as soon as dates and details become available!

top work Steve.
Will be great if Maritime can set up for August. Always nice to have a new track to race at.

Hi Steve

I'm planning on doing my first Regional series this year, but as it is my first time, I dont have a clue how to enter??

jim76 04-03-2012 10:43 PM

Terry, it's normally just turn up on the day and book in. Not like the old days of having to pre-book to guarantee one of the 100+ places available!
